About the designer and Ornel Soie

Launched in the mid-1980s, Mr NG SWEE KUANG or N.G. is the person behind Ornel Soie. Born in Malaysia, he developed a professionalism and cultured taste for fashion designing at a very tender age.

He graduated from the Osaka institute in Japan where, he studied production of textiles, of fabrication, of textile printing, of colour composition, of printing designs, of dyes, additives and pigments, of the in-depth knowledge of batik techniques, which allowed him to understand the problems, strokes and solutions of the magnificent “Batik”. After graduation he settled down in Paris.

N.G. was also a student of the school of Chamber Syndicale of Parisian fashion whose alumni were Yves Saint Laurent, Scherrer, and Olivier Lapidus
